"My furnace was not working so I made an appointment to have someone come out and look at it. The person came out and was able to tell me unfortunately I needed a new control board for my furnace and he would be able to order the part and install it the next evening. He quoted me $425 to make the fix. I told him that was fine and set up a return appointment. About a half hour later he called back and said he quoted me wrong and the actual price would be over $600 unless I wanted to purchase a care package for $200 and then it would cost me over $550. I was frustrated and concerned with the sudden price change so I called someone else. They did the work at a much lower cost and also informed me it appeared the tech who came out the day before had cut sensor wires to my furnace. I am very glad I did not go with Quality Comfort Heating and Cooling. " K . M from Cincinnati, OH on February 25th, 2019 (1 / 5)

"When our emergency heat was running it would never reach its set temperature. I called Quality Comfort and they scheduled someone to come out the next day. Well, when I called them to ask if anyone was coming they said they had a note that the appointment was cancelled. They apologized and scheduled me for the next day. Josh came and looked at a few things. First, he looked at the outdoor unit and said the defrost board was fried. Then, he looked at our indoor unit and said "I have not seen one of these in 7 years. You are not going to like what I have to tell you". He said I needed a whole new air handler. He worked up a quote for everything and he said that there was no warranty for the defrost board and it would be $400 to replace it. Then he quoted $3500 for a new air handler. After he left I looked up the warranty information for the heat pump and it said I have 5 years for parts. So I got suspicious and had a second opinion. Someone else came out and looked at a few things and messed with the wiring and it was fixed within two hours. He also looked at the defrost board outside and said it looked fine to him. So either the technician from Quality Comfort didn't know what he was looking at or he was trying to stick me with an unnecessary bill and make some money. Its hard to trust some people these days. And I still got charged the service fee for no advice at all." M . N from Cincinnati, OH on January 15th, 2018 (1 / 5)
